Scientists discovered that the bones form before the flesh during the phases of fetal development. At the time of Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, such a circumstance was unheard of. However, the holy Qur’an has revealed it; Allah, the Exalted, says:

“Then we created the sperm.”

Into a congealed blood clot;

Then we formed a clot out of that clot.

A (fetus) bulge, and then We

made from that chunk

Bones and clothing for the bones

We began with flesh and then progressed.

Another monster sprang from it.

3. One of the stages of fetal development is when the fetus looks like a chewed lump of meat (mudgha). All praise to Allah for revealing this stage of man’s evolution to us; Allah says:

“Then we created the sperm.”

Into a congealed blood clot;

Then we formed a clot out of that clot.

made from that chunk

The issue is, who could have disclosed such a scientific fact to Prophet Mohammad, PBUH?

4. Researchers have revealed that the fetus begins to form on day 42 of its development in the uterus. Amazingly, Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, disclosed such a scientific truth 14 centuries ago, as related by Imam Muslim: “If forty-two nights have passed over the embryo, Allah sends an angel to it, who moulds it,” the messenger of Allah, PBUH, remarked. All praise be to Allah.

5. The placenta provides oxygen, food, and water to the fetus, prevents the passage of dangerous elements, and generates hormones that regulate the fetus’s temperature. According to scientists, the placenta cares for the fetus far better than any critical care center. As a result, Allah, the Almighty, says:

“Then we put him there.”

as (a speck of) sperm

In a resting location,

firmly established” Muminun or the Believers: 13 (ibid)

6. Scientists have found that during the early phases of fetal development, the fetus is a collection of cells that are linked to and nourished by the uterine wall. All praise is due to Allah, who revealed this in the holy Qur’an while describing this stage (the stage of alaqa, a leech-like clot):

“He is the one who has

I made you out of dust.

Then, using a sperm drop,

Then from a clot like a leech” Ghafer or the Believer: 67 (ibid)

Once again, who might have disclosed such a scientific truth to Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, should be answered.

7. Scientists have proved that the fetal gender, male or female, is determined by the sperm. All praise be to Allah, who revealed this reality in the holy Qur’an:

“He did create that.”

Male and female in pairs

When a seed becomes stuck

(In its stead)” Najm or Star: 45-46 (ibid)

The question that needs to be answered is who could have revealed to Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, that the fetal gender is determined by the sperm.
