As with many other aspects of the legislation, the term “reasonable accommodation” under the Americans with Disabilities Act is mainly imprecise and ambiguous. HR professionals are required to provide a reasonable accommodation, but what exactly is a fair accommodation? And HR professionals must participate in an engaged process, but what exactly does it entail? This presentation will give participants with much-needed clarification on both topics, as well as clear and well-defined protocols, procedures, and policies to avoid violating the ADA’s reasonable accommodation standards.
