DescriptionDescription:
The genesis of chronic pain syndromes and some practical therapies will be reviewed throughout this talk. Assessing a patient’s present functioning within the context of a “whole-person approach” will provide physicians with more information on where to begin aiding with improvement. Finding strategies to personalize the intervention to the individual will be explored while utilizing “evidence-based therapies” as a starting point. We shall remember the lengthy history of hypnosis in the treatment of chronic pain. Finally, we will examine outcome studies to determine what appears to have the most impact on pain sufferers.
Attendees will learn about the various aspects of patients’ life that must be considered while treating chronic pain.
Objectives of Education:
Demonstrate the capacity to assess a patient’s degree of functioning in physical, mental, and emotional domains.
Following this training, participants should be able to employ five different types of therapies for chronic pain.
In addressing this complicated condition, demonstrate the strong relationship between trauma, stress, and chronic pain.*Content and confidentiality may be modified during sessions*
