Solution Focused Brief Therapy is built on Milton Erickson’s concepts of usage and expectation formation (SFBT).

This therapy method helps clients reach their goals by employing their own resources and building optimism and anticipation of change.

This program will provide attendees an in-depth explanation of how SFBT assists clients by instilling optimism and a sense of possibility in its underlying philosophy and therapy treatments.

Objectives of Education:

Explain how the philosophy of Solution Focused Brief Therapy is built on the concept of expectation.
Describe how Solution Focused Brief Therapy therapeutic strategies harness clients’ resources and hope for change.

Dr. Michael Reiter received his Master’s and Doctorate degrees from The George Washington University, and he did his pre-doctoral internship at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He then worked as a program psychologist at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, in a pediatric and adolescent clinic. Dr. Reiter later worked with adolescents, young adults, and families at Alvord, Baker, and Associates in Rockville, Maryland. He presently serves clients in his Rockville, Maryland, private office. Dr. Reiter and his wife, two children, and two pets live in Maryland.
