Meanwhile, practitioners are dealing with the most difficult economic practice environment in the field’s history. Income is decreasing, and fewer individuals seek psychotherapy as a solution to their issues. Dr. Miller states forcefully in this invited talk that the field has been seeking for outcomes in all the wrong areas. Following a discussion of what does not work, he presents the most recent discoveries in the field of expertise and expert performance, detailing three evidence-based processes linked with high-performing doctors. According to research, utilizing these stages pushes therapists to the next level of efficacy.
