Target Assembly — Ring of Neck

How to ensure your bodyweight is always fully into any strike! (By the way, the universe and laws of physics could care less if you’re nearly all muscle or have 40% bodyfat, if you strike right, every ounce of you will go into causing an injury.     Why, psychologically, your purpose is to perceive violence from a winner’s perspective… the asocial approach. (Until you get there, you’ll always be on the losing side.)

    Why do we frequently refer to weapons as “tools” (regardless of what the weapon is or does)… and… how all of the previous DVDs provided you with all of the fundamental knowledge required to operate with weaponry.

    The only two acceptable knife grips. (Perhaps you’re doing it incorrectly right now.)
    How big of an advantage a knife has over bare hands. (Hint: It’s not as beneficial as you believe.)

    When people stab one other in real-life violence, they do so in two ways. (No fancy procedures used here… Just down-and-dirty, get the job done, work. By the way, this is based on FBI data on the jail population.)
    What a knife does to your target locations! (You should be aware of this since there are really LESS target opportunities that genuinely matter without it.)

    Knife Demo: The Coin-Flip Of Violence, Live Class, Disc #5: Tools — Knife, Baton, & Firearms

    Why “knife defense” fails in real-world violence. (You’ll witness a video demonstration that proves definitively that conventional knife defense tactics work… and… why it ALWAYS fails. This is why inmates are so successful.)

    Another video presentation, this time with two instances that demonstrate what successful knife work entails. (WARNING: One illustration is nasty, although the one where the person dies seems like a flesh wound.)
    Why, whether armed or not, the person with the smallest feasible “to-do” list wins. (NOTE: You definitely want to be this person, and you’ll figure out how to achieve it on your own.)
    The one and only thing—knife or no knife—that terminates all violent situations and takes precedence over everything else. (You must do this correctly or nothing else will matter.)

    Disc #5: Tools — Knife, Baton, and Firearms Baton

    The only two baton hits need to be successful… that is, to create non-functional harm that may induce a thug to flee! (You will be given some basic comparisons that will make them automatic and memorable in your memory.)

    The baton has three primary benefits over a knife.
    Why you should keep in mind that the baton is not “magic.” (In reality, if you understand the concepts of TFT, you may have one in your hand and not need to use it to stop an assault.)
    Why you should never use your hands to drive a baton hit… and… “what” you should use instead.

    Disc #5: Tools — Knife, Baton, and Firearms Firearms

    To fast stop a firearm encounter, two physical factors must be present at the same moment. (In actuality, whether or not a weapon is used, these must be present to terminate any encounter.)

    Why you should never concentrate on a weapon… any weapon! (This is especially critical when dealing with a handgun.)
    When it comes to guns, practically everyone, trained or not, makes the same error. (Many cops make this error…)
    Another step to “gun defense” vs other weapons or hand-to-hand combat. (It’s critical to avoid being shot… But don’t worry, it’s dead simple.)

    Live Class Disc #6: Grabs, Holds, and Chokes Multi-man — Initial Practice

    The most important physical (and mental) attribute to cultivate when confronted with several attackers. (Also, why should you ALWAYS anticipate several attackers.)

    Surprisingly, penetration and rotation into one attacker keeps you safe from a secondary attacker.
    How to strike while performing a figure-8 scan of the room for additional dangers. (It may appear difficult, but once demonstrated, it is a simple, natural action. Once you know the secret, it’s like having eyes in the back of your skull.)

    Why (and how) do you pull each attacker out of the battle one at a time?

    The three fundamental “rules” of multi-attacker combat that will allow you to dominate the scenario!

    This multi-man phase of starting TFT training was compared by one Black Belt magazine writer to a high-level Aikido master’s super-secret technique. (He’d just finished another Aikido class, and the master’s black belts—some of whom had been with him for 17 years—said they’d never been taught this technique. Nonetheless, that is the one we teach from the start.)

    Chokes, Grabs, and Holds

    Why we are predisposed to grab onto someone who reaches onto us… and why it is the exact worst thing to do.
    This is the mentality you want to have whenever someone touches you. (This is how you counteract your ingrained natural need to grab them back… and… how you rapidly stop the conflict.)
    How to relax while inflicting immediate harm on an assailant if they grab you. (It makes no difference whether you start from the front or the back.)

    While in a headlock, this is an easy technique to cause immediate harm. (It doesn’t matter if you employ a front or side headlock; this is position agnostic.)
    A “specific to women” consideration/position, as well as how to avoid grabs, clutches, and chokes. (This is irrespective of size/strength… for you and/or the assailant.)

    Closing Comments for Live Class Disc #6: Multi-man and Grabs, Holds, and Chokes

    The first thing you should think about after being introduced to the TFT system. (This is how you avoid legal “hot water” if you need it.)

    The four elements used by the law to assess whether you acted in self-defense… or not.
