10 Years of Broke, Difficult, and Humbling Struggle

I’ve done all I could to get rich since I can remember.

And, over the course of ten humiliating, struggle-filled years, I tried 12 different enterprises — and 14 different occupations — in search of my vehicle to fortune.

But, even after a decade of chasing money, I ran into two issues.

I was still in debt.

I was displeased!

So I made a decision: chasing millions was not the way to go.

Instead, I began to study Zen Buddhism. I attended spiritual retreats.
I had my own guru, with whom I studied on a regular basis.

I even pondered becoming a monk and living in a monastery for a while!

I was still broke… and, worse, I was still unhappy.

My Darkest Hour

Put yourself in my shoes for a moment.
