Each Simple English Stories book includes a “Bonus Story” for older children and adults that takes a fresh and different look at a traditional classic story (Story A). This is a lighthearted and enjoyable approach to learn essential vocabulary. Children and adults may listen to Simple English Stories together and learn English together!

How Does It Work?

Each Simple English Story is divided into three parts to provide your child (and you) with numerous opportunities to learn important and useful vocabulary and to become more comfortable listening to and reading English.

STORY A: Everyone in America is familiar with this classic, popular children’s story. It’s told simply, with many repetitions of key new words, but in a fun and interesting way within the context of the story. (For Beginners)

STORY B: This is a brand-new, original children’s story that incorporates at least 60% of the key vocabulary from Story A. In an interesting and entertaining story, the listener has another opportunity to hear this useful language. (For Beginners)

STORY C: – Bonus Story: From a completely different perspective, this story takes a fresh and amusing look at the classic story in Story A. This story is intended for older children and adults and introduces new vocabulary. You will, too, learn new and useful English while being entertained by a humorous and engaging story. (Level Intermediate)

Each story has TWO videos: one at “learning speed” (slower and easier to understand) and one at normal speed.

There is a learning guide included!

Use the Learning Guide, which contains a complete written transcript of every word in all three stories, to get the most out of Simple English Stories.

Each Learning Guide includes:
