Russell A. Barkley, Ph.D., is a Psychiatry Clinical Professor at the Virginia Treatment Center for Children and Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond, VA. He is a Diplomate (board certified) in Clinical Psychology (ABPP), Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, and Clinical Neuropsychology (ABCN, ABPP). Dr. Barkley is a clinical scientist, educator, and practitioner who has 41 editions of 23 publications, rating scales, and clinical manuals. He has also written the book Managing ADHD in School and has published over 270 scholarly papers and book chapters on the nature, evaluation, and treatment of ADHD and associated diseases (PESI, 2016).
He is the originator and editor of The ADHD Report, a bimonthly clinical periodical that is currently in its 25th year of publication.
Dr. Barkley has given over 800 invited speeches across the world and appeared on prominent television shows such as 60 Minutes, the Today Show, Good Morning America, CBS Sunday Morning, CNN, and many more on behalf of persons with ADHD. He has won recognition from professional societies and ADHD groups for his lifetime achievements, career successes, contributions to ADHD research, clinical practice, and scientific dissemination.
