Dr. Bedi is the Chair of the Department of Specialty Medicine and is originally from Southern California. He earned his medical degree from Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stamford Hospital – Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He subsequently pursued a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at the Women’s Health Institute of Illinois in Chicago, Illinois.
Throughout his medical career, Dr. Bedi has held several senior roles. He was previously the Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Van Diest Medical Center. He has been a member of various organizations during his career, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and the American Osteopathic Association. He has served as an Illinois delegate to the AOA Congress and as an Iowa state delegate. Dr. Bedi’s areas of expertise include Medical Education, Minimally Invasive Surgery, and Urogynecology. During his fellowship, he began educating medical students and residents, and he has continued to do so. Prior to joining California Health Sciences University, he taught at Midwestern University, Des Moines University, and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
