Module 1: Ancestral Support for Psychological Healing (February 11)
Ancestral connectedness benefits mental and emotional wellness in a range of clear and less evident ways. Increasing our understanding of some of these elements can aid this process along, both for ourselves and for others.
We’ll look at things like healthy attachment, self-esteem, clear boundaries, clarity of purpose, and the capacity to recognize and care for others. We will approach the lesson with awareness of the prevalence of physical and sexual abuse, societal inequalities, and complex kinds of relationship trauma.
This module will teach you:
Learn how to enlist ancestral help for your own improvement.
Investigate the connection between ancestral healing and personal, familial, and cultural self-worth.
Consider your personal attachment type and learn to predict how it will manifest itself when you interact with your ancestors.
Examine the parallels and differences between psychotherapy and ancestral healing as pathways to wholeness.
Request that your ancestors send healing remedies to places of personal anguish and weakness.
Reclaiming Ancestral Identity, Culture, and Ritual Practices (February 18)
Relationships with forebears involve issues of cultural identity and the potential of engaging in ancient methods of knowing. Sometimes these traditions are partially preserved or performed by live representatives, while other times the lineages have been entirely severed, with only the ancestors’ memories remaining.
We’ll investigate how to approach ancient traditions with integrity, pragmatism, and ceremonial efficacy, guided by the ancestors. We will approach this question in ways that are not unduly Eurocentric and are sensitive of cultural loss.
This module will teach you:
Learn how to research what is still known about your ancestors’ customs.
Investigate the role of food, land, and the natural environment in cultural revival.
Consider the distinctions between hubris, racial essentialism, colonialism, racism, and healthy cultural pride.
Discuss the intricacies and unavoidable heartbreak that occurs when traditions are disrupted, misconstrued, or lost.
Bring particular benefits forward through the lineage into the current moment and consciousness.
Module 3: Dreams, Synchronicities, and Unpredictable Ancestral Contact (February 25)
The dead communicate in a variety of ways, both waking and sleeping, and many of these channels of communication occur spontaneously, outside of the designated domain of ancestor-focused ceremony. Many of our ancestors enjoyed these regular connections, but many people today were not raised with even the most fundamental abilities for navigating spontaneous ancestral outreach.
We’ll investigate techniques to welcome direct touch while in different states and for different purposes, with the help of the ancestors. Our time will be spent thinking about unhelpful and terrifying communication from the disturbed dead.
This module will teach you:
Examine family and cultural ideas about ancestral contact, as well as ways in which the ancestors have previously communicated.
Learn how to work safely and successfully with both difficult and welcoming dead dreams.
Discuss the function of synchronicity and how to handle these sorts of ancestral interactions comfortably.
Practice asking the ancestors for help in broadening the ways you now relate to them in your daily life.
Module 4: Preparing for Your Own Death with Your Ancestors (March 11)
Many of us were reared in societies that avoided discussing death and minimized discussion of the next world. The ancestors, on the other hand, are excellent guides in this territory, having died and traversed the worlds beyond. We’ll talk about the impending shift and welcome the ancestors to assist educate and prepare us for when our time comes.
This module will teach you:
Discuss your beliefs about the future world and your own path when the body dies.
Consider your own personal experiences with death and dying, as well as the involvement of your ancestors in such circumstances.
Investigate practical preparations, funeral rituals, and methods for respecting the dead corpse.
Inquire nicely with the ancestors about how to be more prepared for your own death and what lies beyond.
