I’ve been practising Yoga on a regular basis for approximately 4 years. I began with the Yoga Zone introductory DVDs and thoroughly enjoyed them. I upgraded to “Rodney Yee’s Power Yoga – Total Body Workout” and was ecstatic! The term “responsibility” refers to the act of determining whether or not a person is responsible for his or her own actions. I viewed them once or twice and never looked at them again. I’ve remained with “Power Yoga – Total Body Workout,” and I’ve appreciated everything about Rodney Yee so much that I figured I’d give him another chance when it came time to develop my practice. “Advanced Yoga” is dead-on great!

There are several thorough reviews that do an excellent job of describing what is on this DVD. I think the greatest advice I can provide is that if you like Rodney Yee’s videos, particularly “Power Yoga – Total Body Workout,” and want more diversity and more difficult positions, “Advanced Yoga” is precisely what you’re looking for. You’ll enjoy it! I watched it once through the day I received it and laughed the entire time. It was just what I had hoped for.

And curiously enough – it not only offers a huge variety of poses that work on the entire body, but the two primary areas of attention are strength – notably in the arms and upper body – and the hips – mine are quite tight. Because I’ve always been a runner, my hips and hamstrings require a lot of effort to relax up. This DVD set focuses mostly on the hips. The term “electronic commerce” refers to the sale of electronic goods. I want to be flexible, balanced, and powerful all at the same time. I’m pretty strong, but it’s going to take me a year or more to work up to some of these postures – they’re wonderful – just what I was looking for.

Several critics have mentioned that he moves too rapidly between stances. People, in general, do not listen well. “It may appear that I go too rapidly from position to stance, but work at your own pace and build up to it,” Rodney says right in the start, so he’s clearly doing it for a reason. These are quite sophisticated postures, and you (and I) will ultimately catch up to him. One reviewer stated that the pace was too rapid at first, but that it quickly became his favorite DVD – and I can well understand why.

“Advanced Yoga” has really captivated me. It is everything I love about Rodney Yee – spiritual and relaxing, smooth and elegant, and yet highly demanding with a vast range of postures covering everything from strength, stamina, flexibility, and balance from head to toe.
