This is the first disc of a digital remastering of one of the most thrilling aikido demonstrations ever conducted. Part one includes lecture demonstrations by Yasuo Kobayashi, Mitsugi Saotome, Kanshu Sunadomari, and Yoshio Kuroiwa from the 1985 Aikido Friendship Demonstration in Tokyo. Each educational and motivating demonstration focuses on the most significant feature of each teacher’s aikido interpretation. The Japanese commentary is completely spoken over in English throughout the show. These performances will present you with several helpful insights that can help you advance in your aikido training.

Yasuo Kobayashi at a 1989 protest: This video features Kobayashi Sensei’s outstanding performance at the massive demonstration in Tokyo commemorating the 20th anniversary of Kobayashi dojos.

Mitsugi Saotome at 1989 demonstration: In this fascinating film clip, Saotome Sensei and a group of his top teachers from the United States display taijutsu and weapons skills. This film was also shot at the Kobayashi Dojos’ 20th Anniversary Demonstration.
