Blue Belt Stripe 1 – Official Test Master Cycle
Beyond blue belt, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu® is made up of hundreds of advanced techniques that have been structured into a well-defined, systematic curriculum known as the Master Cycle®. The Master Cycle has three levels: purple belt, brown belt, and black belt.
Each belt level demands the complete completion of four stripe courses, each of which has 50-60 lessons organized into seven positional chapters. Ryron and Rener describe the whole Blue Belt Stripe 1 exam procedure and show all 160 techniques required for promotion consideration on this DVD.
The Six Exercises
The Blue Belt Stripe 1 Official Test comprises of six drills: three Technical Drills and three Sparring Drills. Ryron and Rener Gracie outline the characteristics of each practice and show all 160 methods in the precise sequence that will be requested of you on this DVD. The brothers also go over the grading standards that will be utilized to assess your performance.

1. Is this a training DVD? Can this DVD teach me all of the Blue Belt Stripe 1 techniques?
No, this is not a training video. Even while this DVD covers the most of the Blue Belt Stripe 1 methods, there are a few variants that were not included in the exam. During the test demo, the brothers deliver the strategies fast in order to illustrate the test sequence; they do not provide enough depth to understand the concepts.
In reality, they don’t say anything during the protest.
2. Can I test for Blue Belt Stripe 1 if my blue belt is “unverified”?
To test for Stripe 1 promotion, one must first have their blue belt “certified” by finishing the Gracie Combatives course – either at a Certified Training Center, on DVD, or online through Gracie University.
Because Gracie Combatives is the foundation of the whole Gracie Jiu-Jitsu program, getting a blue belt stripe without first perfecting the Gracie Combatives techniques is pointless because the street application of your skills will be debatable.
3. Will the Blue Belt Stripe 1 test be accessible through Gracie University as well?
Yes, the exam demonstration will be offered online in the future through Gracie University. The additional sparring session between Ryron and Rener, on the other hand, will only be accessible on the DVD. Furthermore, the online version of the exam will be of lesser quality video and will be available only when an active internet connection is available. You can prepare for the test more successfully using the DVD version since you can view it in a room, Gracie Garage, or training center where there may not be an active internet connection.
